Welcome to our fabulous class, made up of Year 3 and 4.

I'm Mrs Westron, Class teacher and Senior Teacher, here is a little bit about me:

I began my teaching career, 19 years ago in Berkshire, before moving to Altrincham and then to Northwich. I have taught each group in the Primary age range and LOVE being a teacher.

My favourite subjects are phonics, reading, writing, history and art and I love sharing new books and stories.

Outside of school I am kept very busy with my three children who are 9, 9 and 11 and we can mostly be found at the park, swimming, dance and football lessons, getting messy with art and crafts, reading or watching films.

I can't wait to have an amazing year together.

PE

Our PE sessions are on Tuesday and Thursday (one session will be taught by a sports coach from Full of Beans and the other by Mrs Westron).

On PE days children can wear their uniform, please ensure children have suitable PE kit for outdoor PE. 

Homework

Homework will be set on a Friday and is to be returned to school on a Wednesday.

As part of homework, your child is expected to read regularly at home; reading books from home, school, and the library. Children will also have a Book Bingo, which is a list of recommended reads to support them in choosing a range of books to read. 

Weekly, there will be tasks set on SUMDOG to support the children to consolidate their learning from maths lessons, we encourage your child to log in regulalrly. 

Times Tables

Times Tables are an essential part of the children's mathematics learning. We learn our Times Tables through tricks and strategies, songs, games, chanting and through additional practise on SUMDOG.
